Genetic Data Processing Guideline by the Personal Data Protection Authority

The Personal Data Protection Authority published the Guideline on Considerations in the Processing of Genetic Data ("Guideline") on its official website on October 13, 2023. The Guideline regulates the areas of use of genetic data, the conditions and principles of processing, the obligations of data controllers that process genetic data, and ensuring genetic data security by including the definition of genetic data, which falls under the scope of the special categories of personal data under the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698.
